Nearly three months ago I had 165mg of DXM, and 450mg a week later. Since the second experience, I've had some degree of visual snow, and dissociation/derealization. The latter is worse after alcohol or drug use, and improves after abstaining, but is never totally gone. During bad days, I also have trouble with memory, light halos and sometimes muscle jerks, but that may be unrelated.

Research hasn't been easy, but I was directed to this forum. I think my problems may be caused by something neurochemical.

I have piracetam, choline, magnesium, St. John's Wort & vitamin B12. I am taking magnesium and B12, because I don't want to use piracetam or anything that might affect my brain before having a better idea of what's going on.

It's getting quite terrifying because of how long it's been, and I'm really hoping somebody will be able to give me a hand. Thanks a lot for reading and for your opinions.

I'd highly recommend Piracetam; I believe that it really counteracted damage caused by DXM abuse in my past. Piracetam has been extensively studied and shown to be extremely safe.

I've read that a lot and it looks like my most promising avenue, so I'll try it for sure. But I'm also apprehensive about introducing new drugs just because of this experience- anything that affects my brain or mental state is terrifying to me right now. I'd like to get a better idea of what's wrong before jumping in, but it may also be impossible to know...

I've heard of people taking piracetam, St. John's wort, and other things. Is piracetam the most promising right now, and how long should I wait before I take it (could natural recovery be any time soon?)

Piracetam won't hinder your natural recovery in any way. If anything, it will boost it.
Some people report feeling like they're "on" something. Personally, I felt ripped off.
I see you're from Europe. If you want some Piracetam, I still have an unopened bottle from Relentless Improvements.
It seemed to be one of the best quality brands out there.
Being naïve and desperate at the time, I bought 2 bottles.
I'll post back soon. There's a VS forum I believe.. thosewithvisualsnow.yuku.cantrememberappendage
See what they got to say.
I've got some info on VS and DP/DR, but I'll have to look up DXM. I'll post more tonight.

Just one word of advice: stay away from weed. Trust me.

Yes, I'm seeing that. I felt pretty close to normal (or what I remember normal being like) the other day and smoked just a little bit and it's made me fully relapse. But I think I'll recover to at least what I was beforehand.

And much thanks for the offer, but I already have the piracetam and choline, I just haven't started taking it yet. I think I'll start shortly. Might any other supplements help?

Thanks a lot for your posts!

Hey, sorry to bump, I was wondering if you've had a chance to go over that info. I'm coming up at the three month point and I'm still very welcome to opinions. Thanks again.
