Will there be solutions in the future to reverse pore size and go back to our baby bottom pore-less skin one day? I'm surprised with our advanced technology and research capabilites in this age that the simple solution of reversing pore size has not been induced. I'm not implying a conspiracy theory here, but I am wondering if a) this is at all being studied or pursued, b) it's even plausible, or c) I'm unaware of something.

What are your thoughts/knowledge?

Thanks!

Active oil glands need a bigger opening for releasing oil. i.e. pores. So pores are tied to oil gland size and I haven't heard of a way to reduce them. Also with age, skin looses elasticity and pores will increase from this as well. It would be nice though for something more than a temp reduction or cover-up.

Method of decreasing sebum production and pore size

The present invention is based on the unexpected discovery that inhibition of hair growth inhibits, reduces, or controls sebum production and/or pore size.

I have been trying Witch Hazel on my face for the last two weeks and the results have been less than amazing. This is unfortunate.

Where did you find this? Do you know if the product/procedure (?) is commercially available considering it was published 6 years ago?

I found it on google. The patent is assigned to Unilever, but I don't see any evidence they tried to market it.

Topical Methylene Blue seems to be working for me, but the effect is transitory and I have not seen an improvement once the cream 'wears off'.

I'm assuming at a dilution that doesn't turn you into papa smurf?

LOL! I add 2 drops to my cream along with about 200mg of Ascorbic acid.

The patent that Turnbuckle linked mentions NAC and ECGC and Spermidine.
The first 2 are easy to acquire and Im sure Turnbuckle can give us feedback on the 3rd as he is trialling it atm.
