I have an exam coming up in 3 weeks and I'd like to get a hold of some Modafinil. I wasn't able to convince my doctor to write me a prescription. I'm in Boston, so shipping from India is probably not an option for me at this point. What are my options? College campuses? Drug dealers? Are there any underground Indian pharmacies that sell modafinil?

I'd suggest really try and reduce your anxiety, meditation, etc. Modafinil won't help you that much. Not to sound cheesy; but, the result of the test depends on how hard you study.

thanks for the suggestions. I actually started meditating again a couple weeks ago and it's definitely helping. It's just so hard forcing myself to commit to meditation when I'm so pressed for time and sleeping 5-6 hours per night. I've been trying to get into a bedtime routine of "mindfulness of breath" meditation for 10-20 minutes and a recorded 20min body scan meditation, but I'm finding myself skipping the first part and passing out during the body scan.

Hey, if you think you really need the crutch, you can get adrafinil. It's the legal prodrug of modafinil that takes some time to metabolize; but, works for all nighters.

The mindfulness of breath meditation before bed is a great idea. To avoid falling asleep, try to get up a little earlier and do the body scan in the morning instead.
