Bummer, did you not get any anxiety relief at all?
the usual questionable placebo effect then nothing...i cant continue more than a few days without noticing at least i tiny amount of relief. i've tried so many things that didn't end up working that i lose hope more quickly than i'd like to.

What were some of your negatives and what is sigma agonism?
I'm just trying to calm my brain, basically which always seems to be on hyper alert...more of an anticipatory anxiety as I've had some severe panic attacks in the past due to late stage Lyme Disease. Benzo's work great, and I rarely take them unless over stimed or on the verge of panic, which is not that often...but, the anticipatory stuff drives me nuts.

Are you trying to find a safer alternative to benzos? You might look into etifoxine if thats the case, it works similarly to a benzo and actually repairs peripheral nerves which might be helpful for lyme disease. its a bit less effective than benzos but it definitely helps.

Definitely attacked my neuro system and I mainly deal with anxiety and nasty migraines a couple times a week. Benzo's help with the anxiety, but do nothing for the migraines. I've run the gambit of both pharm and nutra to try to find relief and have not had much success. That's why I've been messing a bit with the russian stuff...most of which seems pretty tame so far.
I've tried Ladasten, and now Afo and we'll see. I actually got some Validol from Awake Brain and that stuff does calm my system down, in fact it makes me pretty drowsy, which I'm not really looking for. Anyway, still trying.
Have you had any experience with Tofisopam or Mexidol?
Great chatting with you!

So, currently trying Afobazole and if that doesn't help, maybe on to etifoxine or Mebicar, or tofisopam, or Mexidol. Praying something fills the bill!

From where are you planning on buying that stuff if I may ask?

I tried tofisopam it actually overstimulated me. its a phosphodiesterase 10 inhibitor and increases cyclic amp levels which is stimulative. it made me really panicky and more aware of sensations around my heart plus some akathisia. I used to get migraines tried all the triptans etc nothing worked, other than propranolol which made me tired and depressed. Have you tried hydergine i've talked to a few ppl who rave about it for getting rid of migraines.

I like ladasten a little, but if I take it on successive days it peters out and it's rather mild anyway. Triptans help me, but I hate taking them and do all I can to stay away unless the headache is a 9 or 10, which happens a good bit.
Never tried Hydergine...may have to check that out. Let me know how the Mexidol works out. Have you ever tried validol? I got some from awake and it does calm me down. The effects don't last that long, but it could be a panic abortive, which some people use it for...

Anyway, I ordered some etifoxine to see if that can help take the edge off and I'll stay with the Bacopa, which does help my gut. I'm still trying the Afo, but still haven't noticed much except an increase in the visual issues I get...eye heaviness and discomfort, focusing issues, etc. Not sure it's from the Afo, but it does seem to increase about an hour after I take a dose...
Interestingly, Awake took Ladasten and Validol off his site...not sure why.

Any update on Mexicol?
I'm currently trying Etifoxine and I can feel it a little. Certainly not as strong as a BDZ. However, when I take it with Zembrin one or the other really kicks in. It's actually a bit too strong that way but seems (so far) to really calm me...We'll see if it maintains...

How would you compare Mexidol to Etifoxine...and do you still take Etifoxine? I've been trying that and have not really noticed too much with it yet. The only thing, at the moment, that helps some seems to be the Zembrin, but I still may need to add something to it...

I have ADHD and believe the anxiety I have comes from that also...I heard if that is the case mebicar would be a good solution..however worried if its like Strattera in terms of over time decreasing pleasure in whatever you do...I wouldn't want that and Strattera worked for my anxiety and attention but it made me a zombie like just didn't feel pleasure like I once did.
