Hi YANNO, Just wondering if you've had any luck in over coming the tiredness? I've experienced the same problem! My reason for taking nootropics was to get rid of daytime fatigue, lack of motivation which was affecting my concentration which is problem as I'm at university.

Have you tried taking it without the choline? Because I've found that leaving out the choline helps, it gets rid of that intense tiredness. What I do, to make sure I'm not lowering my body's choline source, is take it at night. Every three days I take 300mg of Alpha GPC when I go to bed.

Also, do you have any caffeine during the day? Esp if it's via energy drinks they can cause a big burnout and leave feeling exhausted.

Be great to hear any other ways you've got of helping the tiredness!

Hi guys, I experience same thing - piracetam and choline totally knocks me out. Anybody have an idea on why this happens? My thought relates to how benadryl knocks people out, and it's an anticholinergic. However, some people including myself react paradoxically to benadryl, causing hyperactivity instead of sleepiness. Do.code, how have you alleviated your problems, because I'm working on the same exact things. Any tips? ;)

Hey Guys I have good news for you :)

the piracetam totally knocked me out the first few days.. I mean TOTALLY lol
I thought to myself that it must be an amazing sleep enhancer & i figured I could use it for that.

BUT then i was reading how there is a phase btwn 1-2 weeks that you need to adapt to the Piracetam.
SO... I took it for a few days (maybe 3 or 4) and then BAM!! I felt it work

Now I only took 800mg (i bought the capsules) so it was 1 pill. But it worked!
So it wasnt the choline or anything else.. it was just time to get used to it.

Now.. after about a week I jacked up the dosage to 1600mgs (2 pills) or 1.6g
and now its almost been a month & im about to start taking 2.4g (3 pills)

As for what I feel when Im on Piracetam:

its a totally natural feeling, it doesnt feel like a drug. It feels like a vitamin. It feels like my whole brain is activated.
I just feel like normally there are some parts of our brain that we are not using & through stimulation we can awaken them & also enhance them.
Really Ive only been experimenting for about a month, but I feel no side effects & only good results.

Now its not a super pill, maybe i havent taken enough lol (im starting to up the dosage now, so we will see)
Bu tits definitely a real nice enhancer :)

As for the choline.. I always eat at least 2 egg yolkes a day. So i figure im getting enough choline.
And im fully stocked up with vitamins A-Z
Maybe that makes a difference as well

For me the tiredness seemed to be eased by both cutting down my choline source and just giving my body/brain time to adjust to a new supplement. It's been about a month since I first tried piracetam and compared to the first few days I definitely feel an improvement.

This is a basic break down of my first month on piracetam and how it effected my energy: the first week/10 days I tried a few different things for the tiredness. To start with I just thought the Piracetam wasn't working properly so I took extra choline as I'd read that low choline levels can hinder the effects of piracetam, but as it turned out, for me, the choline can make the tiredness worse. I was also trying to counteract the tiredness with caffeine, mainly RedBull-like energy drinks, which did help for a few hours but it just made the crash even worse. So then I decided to cut out my main choline source, 300mg Alpha GPC, (my vitamin B complex has 100mg of choline bitartate which I still take in the morning) and that seemed to help with the intense waves of fatigue, which basically made me fall asleep for hours in the middle of the day.

I'm still experimenting with the right doses for me and I am still getting periods of tiredness, though they are much less intense than before, but that's something I've had problems with for years. I'm hoping noots will be able to sort out my daytime fatigue but I guess it's all about find what's right you, but it's definitely useful to hear others experiences, problems and solutions!

I've just bought some aniracetam, oxiracetam, noopept and phenyliracetam to try out next. Anyone tried these and had better energy results?

OP it's blood sugar thing. Piracetam dropping you sugar and you feel tired. Adjusting my carb intake helped me - do you eat grains? Bread, oatmeal, etc... - try cut them out and - for some reason Piracetam worked better for me when i was low carb(lots of veggies, meat, eggs, etc and some rice only in the evening)

I also experienced extreme fatigue when starting with piracetam and alpha gpc. I was mega dosing taking 3 to 4 grams of piracetam three times daily with 250 mg a- gpc. I started to take 1 to 1.5 grams of piracetam twice daily with 250 mg of a-gpc and must say I did not feel fatigue like the mega dosing schedule when I first started, maybe my body had adjusted to the supplements but I believe taking a smaller dose twice a day works much better for my personal situation. Just my two cents . . .
