New Dynamics of Ageing cross Research Council programme (MRC, BBSRC, ESRC, EPSRC)
I went to an info meeting and was rather disappointed.
Mainly because of the incessant rhetoric about interdisciplinarity, transdisciplinarity etc. They were mightily proud that BBSRC were aboard, but they did not seem to have an idea of what to do with them. Their understanding of interdisciplinarity is based on workpackages and their concept of gerontology remains with geriatrics.
