I'm curious what kind of people are using nootropics (racetams).

I'm 28
Engineer
Using them for 4 weeks
great experience with them so far

what i accomplished with them:
to early to notice accomplishments at work, i just had a couple of very good weeks, it's to early to get promotion because of this :) (but if i would keep performing like the last 4 weeks, i would become CEO of the company i think)
i also noticed an improvement in social life, i'm single for a long time, now I had suddenly 3 times very exiting contacts with woman in 4 weeks time

I'm not on them. It seems to be mostly white males who aren't that old. Many seem to be trying to fix learning disabilities, mental illness, brain function issues, or to achieve higher performance at work or school, or to find an edge. I'm guessing that many of them have higher than average I.Q.'s and educations, although many are still in school. There seems to be quite a few posts on threads about insecurity and social phobias by people that take nootropics. That's what I've noticed.

Early 20's male - been taking them in the past few weeks to get better focus at work, and they've been paying off a lot.

Early 30's in the tech field. I've taken racetams since freshman year of college, and dabbled with other nootropics since then.

Dyslexic, adhd'er with other learning difficulties here. I take them to increase attention and focus, as well as increase mood.
