Hi people!
This is my first post, so if this would be posted in the "wrong" section, my apologize.

I just started about a month ago supplementing with zinc picolinate 20 mg/per day,
and 2 months ago with magnesium glycinate 300 mg/day before bed.

I find the effects from these minerals to be very nice and promising. So far I am not feeling any tolerance from either, but to be honest I take magnesium before bed, so I can't say I'm feeling anything from it because I'm asleep (lol).

My question is if anybody experienced tolerance from supplementing zinc or magnesium? I am not even sure if it is physiologically possible for minerals to downregulate neurotransmitter receptors.

I think it would be pretty hard to detect a tolerance to zinc or magnesium since you don't usually feel much from them anyway. However, what I can say is that my sleep is usually more deeper and of a higher quality if I take my little mineral supplement 30 mins before bed (400mg magnesium-glycinate, 30mg zinc-arginate, 200mcg selenium-glycinate, 200mcg chromium nicotinate-glycinate, 100mcg vanadium nicotinate-glycinate).

It also depends on how hard you are exercising/lifting/sweating. Zinc and magnesium are two minerals that are easily depleted in hard training athletes so those are two things to take daily to replenish your levels.
