anyone heard of the melitane? I recenty read a lot about it regarding hair darkening and skin darkening. It increases MSH and many companies start selling products containing it although I think they use very small amounts. Acetyl hexapeptide is also used in very small amounts in skin creams so you probably need larger and more amounts to have the MSH increasing effect.

The pure melitane is something you can already buy on ebay.

I can't copy the link but there's a study published, you should google the words: maidenhair and melitane. It was published in a reputable scientific paper.

I would also wanna use it for eyelash darkening. Someone recommended me to mix the melitane with minoxidil to have a good carrier but I dont know if it's very safe to use around the eyes.

Background and Aims: Melanogenesis, the process of synthesizing melanin, is controlled by a variety
of molecular pathways, including signaling through the melanocortin type 1 receptor (MC1R). Binding
of α-melanocyte stimulating hormone (α-MSH) to MC1 Receptor leading to an increase in the activity
of enzymes involved in the production of melanin pigments. The present study was designed to
explore the stimulation of melanogenesis and anti- graying effects of Adiantum capillus-veneris
(Maidenhair) and Melitane (a biomimetic peptide agonist of α-MSH) in their lotions.
Methods: Dermatotoxicological Effects of shampoo and hair lotion was studied by RBC (Red Blood
Cell), Zein, Skin Drize and human patch tests. For studying of dermatopharmacological Effects of hair
lotions, containing A) Propylene glycolic extract of maidenhair B) Melitane C) Maidenhair and
Melitane D) Benchmark (Phyto), a half head test method was used with 60 men in 4 groups with gray,
white and black hairs. The application of shampoo and lotion was made according to the test, one half
with 2.5 g shampoo and then 4 ml lotion containing active matter and the other half with control
shampoo and lotion without active matter. The application was continued for 3 months, one time in a
day. White hair was counted prior and 3 months after lotion application, using a shablon.
Results: White hair average for lotion containing Melitane considerably is decreased in comparison
with control lotion. This effect is not seen for Maidenhair lotion. Based on results of
dermatotoxicological tests, all lotion was without side effects for eye and skin and all shampoo was
mild irritant (similar to other mild shampoo in the market).

Conclusions: These findings confirm that Melitane is a melanogenesis stimulator and exhibits antigraying
property. But the products were made just by Maidenhair extract had no anti- graying effect.

Stefanovic-- I can't find melitane on American ebay, French ebay or German ebay. I'm very interested in this product-- from a serious supplier. Would you kindly point me to it?

Of course. I had been using it for a bit less than two months between june and august, I wanted to re-order but they ebay seller no longer sold it which meant that I had to start all over again. I have light eyebrows and lashes and noticed that after about seven weeks some of them started to grow in darker, white hair takes longer they say, so I would have had real results by now, but a few weeks ago I started again and ordered from a Chinese company Winkey. Good service and delivery. winkeybio@hotmail.com

I had ordered the mixed product for around 160 euros, You should ask for the liquid version similar to Lucas Meyer's melitane.

There already exists a popular and effective injectable skin tanning stimulator called Melanotan 2. I don't recall reading that it darkens hair, but if it does, your skin would be crazy dark before it had an effect on hair, I expect the same problem with the product your describe https://www.google.c...610.FfiyKEPCN3s

I hope someone could help me out.

Been using it for three months now but I have problems to keep the PH under control, mixing the melitane with distilled water and DMI, the PH is 4 so I add some baking soda but when measuring it again after a week it gets back down, so I need to find a way to control that. Somebody told me I should use argan oil instead of DMI so the PH will be between 5 and 7 all the time.

Does anyone know what to do?

I noticed many of my eyelashes grow in a bit darker and some a lot darker. I also use it on the scalp but have not seen in a reversal in greys, the results on the lashes shows that it does work but probably needs some adjustment.

The solution is also watery and maybe a more solid solution would be better.
