Hey guys,

Can taking too much of a "smart drug" make you feel hazy or dumber?
I don't think I've taken too much of anything but I have yet to feel any
great benefits from them. I've actually felt a little slower and spacey
the last two days. I've stumbled over things I've read and felt a little
foggy headed. Any suggestions?

Today I took this stack in two dosages once in the AM and once in the afternoon.

900 A-GPC
400 Hup-A
1000 pyrintinol
1/4th teaspoon Aniracetam
1/4th + a bit more teaspoon Oxiracetam

I've been taking that for the last 3 days all together in the AM.

Thanks

I should mention that I am reasonably new to the nootropics scene but this
advice is based on information easily attainable via the internet

If you are going to take Hup-A then only take about 300mg of Alpha GPC,
aswell thats a lot of Hup-A id cut that down to 100 - 150 mcg.

If you stop taking hup-A then you will need more ACh for the same effect
, take about 500mg of Alpha GPC if you stop taking Hup-A

1gram of pyritinol is a lot more than what is typical but some people take
that much, 200 - 400mg is more typical

1/4th of a TSP How much is that exactly? the weights vary for each substance

Its probably around 700mg, which is a lot to start with for both aniracetam
and oxiracetam.

I would suggest cutting down your Pyritinol, Hup-A and Alpha GPC to what I
said and start small with the racetams - 200mg of each and then work your way
up to what feels optimal for you.

If you add more nootropics to that stack, add them one at a time.

Thanks Enigma.
I was doing a higher dose of everything for the first few days as like a "booster" or something. I never felt much and only felt that fuzzyness for awhile today. I'll try dropping the doses and being more accurate with the measurements of ani/oxi.
If I don't get any results from that I figure I'll just do the old one at a time for a few weeks to see what works.

Assuming that you recently started taking each of the aforementioned substances, then it might be advisable to cut back to just one supplement to see how you react to it, then gradually introduce another etc.
Not the most exciting method, I fear, but just something to think about.

However, it seems the idea that smart-drugs have a sweet-spot for each person, that once surpassed leads to the hazy, or dumb feeling that you reported has a bit of support, if I recall correctly, in most of the smart-drug groups.

Did you just start 3 days ago with this stack?
Its not adviced to start out directly with multiple nootropics.. you should try out each one and determine your reaction to each one.

If you start out with a stack and something doesn't feel right its hard to discover which one it is..

Also it takes your brain some time to get used to new nootropics introduced in the system, if you brain has to get used to 5 new substances at ones it would easily explain the slow & foggy effects you're feeling....

I would suggest stopping this and start out slow.. slowly building up your stack and trying each nootropic for atleast 1 or 2 weeks and finding the right dosage for you before adding a new one..

At least what i would do is cut back this dosage at half or even more. I was overdoing some of my nootropics and i've had similar symptoms. More is not always the better.

I think it makes sense to have some patience and start of with one and see the effects and if everything is good then add another nootropic. This would obviously be far easier to find which nootropic is causing this ( if it is related ) and to take it away from your stack.

I think because nootropic powders are becoming so economical people are gobbling them up by the spoonfull. It dosn't work that way. Start low and work into your "sweetspot" as dirac aptly referred.

all the acetams tend to make me feel slow and fuzzy, even at recommended dosages. For what it's worth I feel smarter for having dropped them for two weeks now.
