Ceretropic just offered this new racetam for sale, naturally I bought a couple grams to try it out and report its effects in this thread as soon as I receive the compound.

Interestingly enough, Phenylpiracetam hydrazide was a compound that the owners of ceretropic came up with themselves and should be considered a "designer" cognitive enhancer with no clinical trials whatsoever.

An owner of ceretropic has reported its subjective effects on reddit, this is what he had to say:

Our new phenylpiracetam hydrazide is pretty cool. It is a like a more stimulating, but smoother phenyl. I've taken anywhere from 50mg to 100mg. I have also mixed it with a lot of things, to make sure it was safe. I even mixed it with ephedrine and caffeine, just to see if there would be any weird issues. I wanted to make sure that if there was going to be a bad reaction, that it would be with me first. So far no issues at all.

There is of course a conflict of interest and anything that he is saying should be taken with a grain of salt, since he is running a business. I have to say I have seen him here on the forums and he seems like a genuine and intelligent guy.

Considering that phenylpiracetam worked very well for me, I figured this is worth a shot.

To be exact, piracetam hydrazide has existed for a long time (very under-studied), they "just" added a phenyl group, which should potentially make it better.

That's a pretty big difference, they added a whole phenyl group. There are molecules which have vastly different biological action with just a change in chirality.

Sure, but from what we know about piracetam and phenylpiracetam, it shouldn't be super duper different.

So how did it go? Have you had the chance to try Phenylpiracetam Hydrazide yet?

I tried it twice, it seemed like a less edgy phenylpiracetam, but also less effective at enhancing cognition. I noticed that it drastically increased the perceived intensity of treble when listening to music. I'll take another dose right now and report back.

Now I'm not a musical person by any measure, but when I turn up the treble on my car radio system I find that the vocals are much clearer, so treble=vocals?

Unless the vocal is particularly "breathy", I would say no, not vocals. Treble is more the high frequencies of the songs, like cymbals and hit hats. Phenylpiracetam hydrazide changes this perception so much that songs begin to sound harsh.

I came up for this when I saw Isochroma-reborn's thread on it a while back. There were three main issues with the original piracetam hydrazide that I had:

A) Its potency was still not very good, so I wanted to increase it. It was remarked to be a more stimulating rendition of its parent molecule, so that was a starting point.

B) The most stimulating "main" racetam at the time was/is phenylpiracetam, which is more potent, so add the 4-phenyl group to it I thought.

C) There are very little steric hindrances in piracetam hydrazide to help block from possible hydrazine formation, so the phenyl group adds one in a large way on one side. The increased potency also means less hydrazide has a possibility to form regardless of steric hindrance(s).

So that led to phenylpiracetam hydrazide. I showed Paul - also of Ceretropic - and we agreed that it looked good and we shelved it at that time. Customs syntheses are very expensive if all these group buys are of any indication.

One of our suppliers out of the blue inquired if we wanted to purchase piracetam hydrazide. We contacted them back stating that if they could do the phenyl version, we would jump on it, and to our amazement, they did. After all, the syntheses between the two mainly just swaps phenibut for GABA. One of our friends from another company happened to be purchasing a large order of other things with this supplier already, and offered to us to simply piggyback our order on to theirs. So to our surprise, this compound fell into our lap many months after I thought it up and shelved it like all the other compounds. We were pretty fortunate.

All that being said, this has been covered in this thread and in others, but I just want to reiterate to anybody interested. This compound has no studies on mice, rats, koala bears, and especially humans. It is a pure RC cognitive enhancer. Please use sense if you buy this compound.

Somethingtropic, wait so do you work with Ceretropic? And what other compounds have you thought up and shelved that maybe had some potential?

I am the person that posted about Ceretropic in the new vendor discussion subforum about a year ago. I'm the co-founding co-owner of ceretropic.com. I just went back and looked through my catalog of molecules and there is potential for some of mine, but only time will tell. As with phenylpiracetam hydrazide; I expect surprises.

We are currently working on a better PRL-8-53 that I thought of in memory of Professor Hansl. Its memory effects should be better. It might not get off the ground but we'll see.

We have an NSI-189 workaround which we are working on which I hope actually works out well.

We have a new Eugeroic that we're working on too. Most probably it will be better than Moda.

There are others, but many things have to be assigned a priority. We monitor the groupbuys and overall nootropic trends and adjust accordingly.

Okay on the subreddit MisterYouAreSoDumb mentioned a modafinil analog, is there an ETA on this? I'd love to be your first customer!

We are still in negotiation with our supplier on this compound. They gave us a great price and a low minimum order, then changed both the price and minimum order. We want it out really badly too.

I know that this is a super old thread but I don't see why I should make a new one when this one works fine. Does anyone have any more info to share about PhenylP hydrazide? It was sold by ceretropic for quite a while and seems to be available at Nootropic Source as well, tho many people say they can't be trusted.

This stuff sounds so promising that I'm very much considering getting it from NS anyway tho, given that I've had fine experiences with them in the past. Would love to know if anyone has tried that stuff from Nootropic Source.
