Do these even exist?
I'd like to try some if there are any. Almost got tricked getting Lion's Mane as it doesn't seem to have any permanent results.
Any ideas, fellas?

how desperate and depressed are you to have hope that taking a pill will permanently make you a genius? its all based on genes, but there is some hope. go research genetical threatments and stem cells. those new therapies in that field that are just developing have high potential for permanent change.

Seems risky to try something that has permanent effects. What if you react adversely to it? Due to people's differences in brain chemistry, you can't guarantee you won't end up with something effecting you negatively.

The brain is plastic, this isn't really an outcome I'd anticipate. It seems like cognitive changes resulting from the demands of skills or tasks that are habitually integrated into your lifestyle would be the better bet.

The only thing I have to lose is my life and even is is not in the highest market value atm.

I'll check that one out. Thanks!

I am neither suffering from depression nor having delusions of what a single drug can achieve. I've gone through neuropsychological testing and acording the results am above average in intelligence, but not a genius nor do I intend to become one. It is other cognitive problems I am trying to work arround.

Meditation and high fruit and vegatable diet and refraining from masterbation and porn is the best way to provide mental clarity but taking an herb, drug or supplement is much easier. Problem is many times all these supplements end up doing is causing more problems unless you have really good luck and find one that works but most likely you will become tolerant and it will stop working. Its a losing battle. I've been losing the whole time with a few wins here and there. I've felt the best though when eating clean, exercising, meditating and refraining from ejaculation. Its a pain but worth it.

^ refraining from ejaculation makes sense. the whole point of sex is procreation, and we only need do that naturally just few times a year. yet it seems people are obsessed with sex constantly. you might have a point with that ejaculation theory but it seems i have opposite effect with foggyness and irritation when i hold too long versus compared to how you feel. i might throw this there but everyone is different and i dont think a lot of people will benefit from long abstinence.

Substance that effect pathways that can enhance neuroplasticity and LTP, substance that have some form of neurogenic/synpatogenic capacity, substances that alter/open epigenetic transcription, (among some other more adjunct agents), can have means to create some level of 'permanent' enhancement and best enable a potential to improve cognitive dysfunctions, especially when utilized in a synergistic and properly coordinated fashion (theories within this are still being highly debated).
Certainly there is generally greater potential to improve or rectify cognitive dysfunctions/deficits, than enhance to supra-physiological levels from a normal state; so if that is your goal there is some sound potential.

If you're looking for something like Lion's mane, but with much stronger and longer lasting effects, there's always Cerebrolysin and NSI-189. Both of these are believed to cause neurogenesis, which is most definitely a permanent change.
