Certain websites say that aspartame contains aspartate which is what causes the problems. Some supplements contain aspartate, so could taking these be the same as using the other kind? Would a better course of action be to use different types of supplements?
Is aspartate similar to aspartame which people may want to skip?

Personaly I don't trust many supplements. They could care less what their customer's put in their body. Most of them hae the attitude that if the government says it's safe, then that's good enough to put in my product. If you have any doubts about an ingredient, then you're probably right. It's best to find another brand that does not use asparate.

Aspartic acid and Aspartame are completely different molecules. There is nothing wrong with Aspartic acid. It's just an amino acid, a component of the proteins you need to survive.

Artificial sweeteners mess with your control systems. The only super-sweet things I eat are glycine and honey.

According to this article, there's the following quote in regards to Magnesium Aspartate found in this study: https://www.ncbi.nlm...ubmed/16542786
"Magnesium glutamate and magnesium aspartate greatly worsened the 59–year old man’s depression…These magnesium compounds should be considered as neurotoxic to depressives, and perhaps all people, and should not be used during treatment of depression, anxiety or similar hyperemotional disorders."
