hello,

i wanted to share strange and somewhat concerning experiences i am going through with c60 and at the same time, seek your wisdom/suggestions.

i am somewhat new to c60 and occasional c60oo user so far. I was getting mild but positive effect whenever i use them, but most recent experience (which i am still going through) makes me scared about what is going on in my body.

here's some summary:

- I used to occasionally take about 3ml / at a time.  maybe 1-3 times a months at most.

- I stop taking c60oo for about ~3 months mostly because i was traveling and c60oo wasn't easily accessible during.

- I started to taking c60oo again about 2-3 weeks ago. initially about 3ml at a time, other time ~5ml at time. started ~7day interval but interval became shorter to about 2-3 days at a time.

- earlier last week, i took 3ml/ a day for 2 consecutive days.

- I started to experience flu-like symptoms in the following day.

Symptoms experienced include:

 - sore tongue

 - sore mouths

 - some swelling / inflammation in month

 - some tooth pain (mostly i think this is because swelling/inflammation that is pushing my wisdom teeth)

 - i also noticed that my boil (had it previously) gotten noticeably worse. started to burst out and bleeding and became more painful, etc

 - noticed that inflammations in areas i normally got boils in the past (back of my head). normally, i put essential oils and they are mostly better/no event until this round where i noticed few bumps that are painful when i touch)

Once i had above, i immediately stopped taking c60oo obviously. Some of the symptoms i was experiencing have gone away (sore tongue) but not entirely. It's been about 6-7d since i stopped. My boil is healing better again, and my tongue isn't as sore as before but i feel my mouth is still sore/swelling.  Bad thing is that my teeth is hurting badly because my mouth is still somewhat under inflamed condition(?).  Because of the tooth pain, i started to take Asprin to coop with it. (it helps somewhat..)  I went to dentist today thinking that there might be something else, but they think that my wisdom teeth is causing the pain. and of course, they want to pull out.  ;-\

While I am thinking about wisdom teeth removal which has been a long overdue, i think that is a symptom of c60 side effect . (i am 40, and i have had this for years and years, every time dentist sees this they want to pull out. never bothered me, ever before.)  So, I am really concerned about side effect of c60 is not playing nice w/ my body and maybe my body's immune system got tipped off by c60?   Also, at the dentist, they noticed that my blood pressure was abnormally high (100/140 where I am normally about 60-70/120-130) which is even more worry some.

I am not sure what's going on, and maybe i have some infections that either gotten worse or c60 contributed to. high blood pressure maybe beacuse of my immune system reacting to something?

by the way, my c60oo is purchased from carbon60oliveoil.com which seem to be reputable enough(?)

so I am thinking about few options:

1) wait for another few days to see if symptoms gets better or worse (thinking that c60 hasn't completely worn off, and might need more for my body to become normal)

2) schedule wisdom teeth removal and get them out (more to relieve this pain although it may also go away once side effect goes away)

3) go see my (traditional) physician, and ask to do through blood testing (bec of flu like symptom i am having and blood pressure issue, etc)

4) take more c60oo thinking that this situation gets better by it. ;)

I am thinking of 1) and 3) for now while take ibuprofen or aspirin to kill off pain (they come and go - when it comes, really bad).  My dentist want to pull out my wisdom teeth, end of this week, but i am thinking that until i figure this out, it might not be a good idea.

i would appreciate any feedback / suggestion on this matter.

Sounds like you have a lot of inflammation from your wisdom teeth.   I can't rule c60 involvement in or out, but it does sound like you have a tooth problem.  My main concern is infection-- Your teeth probably have been in whatever position they are now for a long time, so why did it suddenly start to hurt so much?  Maybe c60 was involved in that, maybe not.   These boils that you get on the back of your neck.. What exactly are they?  Do you have some cysts that periodically get inflamed?  Are they related to your wisdom teeth?   You might want to take something for the inflammation, like ibuprofen or some other NSAID.  (not acetaminophen, though, as it's not particularly anti-inflammatory)

The dentist always wanting to remove your wisdom teeth suggests that they actually need to be removed.  You could certainly get a second opinion on it, if you want.  My preference would be to have it done by an oral surgeon under general anesthesia, at least if you have insurance or can afford it.   I would want to make sure that any infection was cleared up prior to surgery.   You might also want to see a dermatologist about the boils.  That is not a normal thing to have going on.

I had an inflammation in my wisdom teeth, waited to long before I pulled it out... must say the dentist did a very good job and the procedure might take long but it don't really hurt. If it does just ask for another injection of pain killer :)

I still had a very big tooth and it was totally burried in the gum.

I take C60 everyday 2 pipettes full. I fail to see how it could trigger ur immune system, if u just take olive oil do u have the same reaction? Since c60 is just carbon atoms it's just can't be an allergen trigger. That's like saying ur allergic to smoke from a fireplace. :)?

Hi niner,

thank you very much for reply.  you hit the nail on the exact area I have been wondering about -- why did this suddenly started to hurt so much given that i had this for years? and is boil on my body have something to do with this?  I have been having this boil thing for quite sometime.. they come and they go.  Recently, i came across some article about tough boils relating to MRSA and using essential oils and manuka honey to treat it. I am not sure that is what i have, and I have barely started to look into this so too early to tell.. and this thing started...

I am mildly suspecting based on anecdotal experience that boil might be a contributor to sudden tooth pain, and perhaps consecutive dose of c60oo might triggered more inflammation that made situation worse perhaps that led to this condition. this is all guess at this point obviously.  (I have read about c60 can induce more TNFa and cause more inflammation for some people, and seen some posting about sore tongue which all seem similar)

i am taking ibuprofen now which helps with the pain, and thinking to go to dermatologist (hopefully a good one) to get this boil issue root caused for good first, then maybe i would try to get them out of my system before i do anything more aggressive like oral surgery. this way, whatever it is, i would guess that we'll end up taking some sort of antibiotics and sort things out before i decide to go on oral surgery.  In theory, if this issue was indeed triggered by boil or excessive inflammation related to it, i would think situation should improve w/o removal of teeth.  (then i would deal with how i go about removing wisdom teeth)

what do you think?  i'll keep you posted... and other thoughts/pointers/suggestions etc all welcome.

Eights are not removed for fun, they can permanently damage the mandibular nerves in the lower jaw so they are not removed in prophylactic circumstances, if they recommend this treatment you have a real problem. You have impacted wisdom teeth, that plus periods of variable oral hygiene leads to times when it hurts and times when it don't. I meet some people who have enormous swellings of their cheeks, tounge, throat and sometimes even general symtoms of fever due to this problem. For immideate relief use Chlorhexidine rinse or gel and combine that with anti-inflammatory non prescription drugs. Then get them fixed.

This is not related to C60.

hello everyone,

i wanted to give update. my pain got increasingly worse over time, and i had 3 of my wisdom teeth removed by my oral surgeon this morning who i seeked for second opinion.  it went well; i was pretty much out on general Anastasia and it was done when i woke up.  Dr perscribed me 2 medications - Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen & Penicillin VK and taking it on regular basis as prescribed.  Dr also prescribed Chlorhexidine which i am planning to use to rinse my wisdom teeth wounds periodically in my mouth.

it is still too early to tell but hopefully this would address my inflammations around wisdom teeth, and continue to dig into potential other problems.   My boil, is still there, and I am continuing to treat with essential oil and manuka honey.  it seems to getting a little better but healing in this is slow, and normally it comes back later else where, so who knows.   i am trying essential oil mix that is supposed to fight against MRSA (in case this is fairly complex problem) for now.

once I heal on wisdom teeth, i am thinking of seeing a dermatologist for the boil if situation continue to remain about the same to further dig into what this is.

one thing i am entertaining - should i resume c60?  would it make situation worse? or better?  I imagine that it can go both ways after my experience. I am also interested in potential side effects with the prescribed medications i am taking if i decide to take c60 as well.

as usual, feedback is appreciated, and thank you all for the feedback for those who given to me.  i'll continue to provide update.

I'm glad to hear that you're on the road to recovery, phat_tuna.  You might want to consider an NSAID like ibuprofen instead of (or in addition to) the hydrocodone/acetaminophen.  Those are pain killers, but are not particularly anti-inflammatory, while NSAIDs are anti-inflammatory.  You will probably have a lot of inflammation and swelling after all this trauma.  Hydrocodone might make you constipated as hell, and makes some people nauseous.  Acetaminophen is pretty safe but if you get too much it can harm your liver.  Don't drink alcohol with it.

You could take c60 with any of these, but I'd hold off until you're at least semi-healed.  I don't know what the effect of c60oo would be on wound healing.  It's probably fine, but it's not like you need to start taking it immediately, so might as well not be a Guinea Pig.

I have been on a half cup of c60oo a day for three months with no ill effects. I work out and eat low carb (under 100 gr per day). Except for what little fat is in chicken breast, all my fat comes from c60oo. The main thing I notice is the more I take the faster my nails grow. I also need more sleep than normal.

I feel for you as I just this morning finished my antibiotics used to control an abscessed tooth infection. No fun at all! My whole cheek was swollen and the gum was to the point of almost bursting, so your pain is still very vividly in my mind. And it came on real fast between a Thursday and Friday; isn't that the way it usually works with these kinds of things?

Anyhow, in regard to the teeth issue... don't be tough and wait for any pain to become too much! Use the ibuprofen liberally _before_ you feel it and let your sleeping hours tell you just how long you can go, then the next day taper down to just above that level. Also, brushing with sea salt, and rinsing with a sea salt and garlic mix should help keep your mouth clean and any surface inflammation down.

I had just decided on ordering C60 right before this episode and decided I'd wait to start after finishing with the antibiotics.

It would be interesting to know how the boil does topically with C60. Perhaps after you find out the cause and specifics from the dermatologist you can determine if it would be 'safe' to try it.
