I really like tongkat ali and I am always on the lookout for affordable sources and so far the cheapest source that seems legit was from premium-tongkat-cheap.com that sells a 200:1  extract for 55$ a bottle and resells from Sumatra Pasak Bumi which is considered authentic.

 

Recently I have ordered from powdercity.com and their stuff seems similar in color and has very bitter taste as  tongkat should have but their price is really bothering me (5 times cheaper that above mentioned seller) as there is a ton of fake products out there and the general advice I gathered from the forums regarding tongkat is that if it is cheap then it must be fake somehow since it is a relatively rare herb.

 

So, does anyone have any ideas on how they could obtain such a low price ?

 

Any other tests beside bitterness I could do to evaluate if it is real and safe stuff?

I've been using Powder City's tongkat ali for a couple months. It's clearly legit, based on the unique smell and the unmistakeable effects of higher testosterone. Powder City offers some of the lowest prices on almost everything. I expect they just buy all their compounds in huge bulk orders, and they also save money with their no-frills packaging.

I am also a fan of powdercity and by any means I didn't mean to bash them here.

 

However, the discrepancy of prices for tongkat ali is simply baffling,  from super affordable prices of powdercity, 55$ per bottle mentioned on premium-tongkat-cheap up to 100$ per bottle from tongkatfitness !

 

I simply can't think of any other legal commodity that has such huge differences in pricing so I had to be skeptical.

Well I haven't felt anything from their Tongkat Ali and even dosed well above the norm.
I've put a 100 gram packet on the shelf because I got tired of capping it for no result.
