What's more interesting in my opinion is if similar effects could be obtained by various fasting techniques (intermittent fasting or alternate day fasting). I don't like having to restrict my food intake continuously. I like to think that after a decent period of fasting higher calorie consumption could be an important part of stimulating the production of healthy cells to replace those that were destroyed via autophagy.
