The Trump budget asks that Five billion eight hundred million dollars be taken out of the medical research budget of the National Institutes of Health. Please contact your House of Representatives and Senators asking them not to cut the budget but to increase it. It includes aging research, cancer research, etc.

This is an argument that we can use to encourage people to back us for increased government support for medical research. We need a coalition of organizations. Youtube and other social media can be used. Kindly comment on this proposal.

Feel free to contact me if you are interested.

The United States spends three trillion two hundred billion dollars yearly for medical care. That amounts to ten thousand dollars for every man woman and child in the USA. A family of four needs on average, forty thousand dollars to pay for medical costs. The government and business pay for much of it.

The average family lives on about fifty thousand dollars, after paying for deductions, such as taxes, Social Security, etc. We should use the economic incentive to encourage investment in medical research. Much of it will be used to increase longevity.

Obviously the families do not pay most of the above expenses. The government, corporations, etc. pay much of it. In addition, because of medical conditions, our country spends additional billions for welfare, Social Security Disability, Special transportation for the disabled, etc. That comes to hundreds of billions of dollars a year.

One million six hundred thousand Americans die of the top eight diseases every year. Over a thirty-year period, the eight illnesses kill forty eight million people.

We need more medical research in the United States. The information below further explains the problem.

You may contact me to discuss strategy for tackling this problem

We need organizations to publicize the above facts.

Americas Biggest Unspoken Security and Economic Problem

This is information about the economic potential of increased medical research spending, which we should advocate for.  It also discusses the death rate of some illnesses. Some people will have different figures but if reason prevails, the economics demand that we do much more medical research. Only fools will come to a different conclusion. The general population is not familiar with the following information.

People are very concerned about health costs. It is advisable to show the economic reward potential of increasing the amount of money spent for medical research. The National Institutes of Health(NIH) budget was reduced 25% over the last few years, after considering inflation because of the sequester. Decreasing medical spending will help us cope with our ninteen billion dollar federal budget deficit. People worry about that.

The United States spends 3.1 trillion dollars a year on health care. Per capita spending was $9,697 in 2014. (California Health Care Almanac for 2014).  The two thousand and and sixteen health care spending will be even higher. The health cost for a family of four costs on average $38,788 a year in 2014. This year it will cost even more. That is more money than tens of millions of families earn, especially after taxes.

These are some figures from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality,

In 2002, the 5 percent of people with the greatest health care expenses in the U.S. population spent 49 percent of the overall health care dollar. Those in the top 5% spent, on average, 17 times as much as those in the bottom 50%.

The cost of cancer costs in 2010 dollars is $157 billion dollars. In addition, there are costs for Social Security Disability, welfare, food stamps, etc. That also amounts to billions of dollars. This year the cost of cancer will be higher.

590,000 United States citizens will die of cancer in 20016. That' is about 1600 people a day. During the 15 years of the Afghanistan and Iraq wars 6,280 American died in combat.. That is about four days of cancer deaths in 2016.

The Kaiser Family Health Care Foundation in May of 2012 said that 5% of the US population use half of the health care and spend almost 50% of all health costs.

If we do the math and extrapolate the figures to 2014, we see that 50% of the healthiest Americans use only ninety billion dollars a year of a more than three trillion plus health care system. Few seniors fall into this category. If everybody were in this category, the health care expenditures would go from about three trillion dollars a year to one hundred and eighty billion dollars. That is a savings of two trillion eight hundred billion dollars a year.

In addition to the potential medical care savings, we can save hundreds of billions of dollars yearly from costs such as, Social Security Disability, welfare, food stamps, special transportation, loss of workers in the labor force, etc.

We should also remember that thousands more Americans die of illnesses every two days than died in combat during the twelve years of fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq. About 9600 Americans die of illnesses every two days and about 8200 American died in the two wars. Of course, our soldiers are entitled to the highest honors. Deaths from illnesses are an American security problem, which we can solve.

The whole world would benefit from American research. We could make this an international effort, where researchers all over the world would cooperate. It would bring countries together. There are International medical advocacy organizations,.

One million six hundred and thousand Americans die of the top eight diseases yearly. Over a thirty year period that comes to forty eight million people.  This is a serious security problem. Let's publicize this. This issue should be on your agenda for action.

The cost of health care is outrageous. In 2016 we spent three trillion one hundred billion dollars. This year it eill be even higher. Every year the cost goes up. About one million  six hundred thousand people will die of eight illnesses. Over the next ten years about sixteen million Americans will die of these illnesses. This is a serious security problem.

There are 320,000,000 Americans in our country. The three trillion one hundred billion dollars spend in this country for health care amounts to $10,000 for every man woman and child. A family of four needs $40,000 on average to pay for the healthcare. Obviously the average family doesn't pay this amount. The bill is picked up by government, corporations, patients, etc. But it usurps the wealth of our country.

The way you cut down the number of dying and the cost of medical costs is to have the country support more money for medical research. Unfortunately this isn't even a minor issue being discussed or marches held. When they talk about health care they talk about Medicare, Medicaid or the affordable health care.

In addition to the three trillion one hundred billion dollar cost of health care hundreds of billions of dollars are spent yearly for this disabled. It includes, Social Security Disability, Welfare, Food stamps, Special transportation, etc.

We need a movement to alert the American people as to the need for more medical research. Longecity should try to start this movement. We need a coalition with other organizations. It will include aging research. Billions of additional medical  research is needed. Trump wants to cut the medical research budget by five billion eight hundred million dollars. So far there is no protest over this proposed cut. Don't cut medical research. Increase it.

We need more medical research because:

1,600,000 Americans will die of 8 diseases yearly. In ten years that amounts to 16,000,000 citizens. This is a big security problem.

We spend $3,100,000,000,000 yearly for health care. 5% of US citizens use 50% of all medical care. That amounts to $1, 600,000,000,000. In addition hundreds of billions of dollars are spent yearly, because of their medical problems, for welfare, food stamps, Social Security Disability, etc. Medical research will help bring down costs and save lives.

$3,600,000,000,000 divided by our population of 320,000,000 amounts to $10,000 for every man, woman and child in the United States. A family of 4 costs the USA on average $40,000. Social Security Disability, welfare, food stamps, etc. are in addition to that. Our country pays for that.

The above should be part of the health care discussion.

These are some figures from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality,

We should try to get a lot more Americans into the 50% lower cost of health care with additional medical research. Our scientists, engineers and research physicians are smart enough to figure how to bring our people into what is today the bottom of national health care spending.

Not spending more for medical research is very costly and contributes to a lower quality and quantity of life.

I think that this goes for all nations. The sooner we cure ageing, the sooner we save loads of money and can improve other aspects of our lives.

Are we going to cure aging or merely supress the symptoms of aging? At the moment I am having to severely stretch my imagination to think of human nature actually allowing us to come up with any real cures for anything rather than just suppressing the symptoms. Has anyone come up with anything that actually cures?

I don't think I truly got what LongeCity was about until now.

Just suppressing the symptoms like a chronic condition is a start that would relieve many from their suffering. No cure just yet but scientists and organisations like SENS are working tirelessly for a future where getting old doesn't automatically mean getting sick.

Cryonics the Gateway to Utopia

The future gives us hope that humanity will eventually find preventions and cures for all illnesses and control of the aging process. Cryonics will bring us to the future, if we die before this happens. Cryonics is thus a utopian philosophy and movement.

Religions are successful because they promise life after death and permanent health and life to people that adhere to its principals.

Cryonics should sell itself as a utopian movement. Many people think that living to a very old age isn't desirable as they equate their current age and health problems with difficulties of a very long life. If they think they could stay 18 years of age way into the future the attitudes of many people would change.

Cryonicists will get another chance to reach their socioeconomic aspirations.  The future will permit intelligence to be increased and a large amount of wealth to be acquired. Everybody will get another chance.

Hopefully we over throw this regimen and get back to giving to the people what the people need. We need medical research spending, not a over bloated defense budget! And that's coming from a u.s. Air man.
