This could be major for those suffering from schizo, ocd, bdd, and other mental disorders.

I stumbled upon this while searching glycine's effect on ammonia. I don't have OCD or BDD so I can't test this effect myself but the evidence in this study is strong. Maybe some of you could benefit from this...

High-Dose Glycine Treatment of Refractory Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and Body Dysmorphic Disorder in a 5-Year Period
This article has been cited by other articles in PMC.

Abstract

This paper describes an individual who was diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) at age 17 when education was discontinued. By age 19, he was housebound without social contacts except for parents. Adequate trials of three selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, two with atypical neuroleptics, were ineffective. Major exacerbations following ear infections involving Group A β-hemolytic streptococcus at ages 19 and 20 led to intravenous immune globulin therapy, which was also ineffective. At age 22, another severe exacerbation followed antibiotic treatment for

The poison or medicine is in the dose. I think glycine is good but how much to take? No doubt up to an oz per day would be harmless but how much more than that would have bad sides? Some people might react more strongly to it than others.

No glycine can worsen YOUR DISORDER, You are the only one person in the world who  have their symptom worsen by glycine, you are an ISOLATE CASE

Schizophrenia symptoms are often alleviated by aniracetam (+ noopept/SEMAX + alpha-GPC), 1g niacin + 1g vitamin C (2:1 w/ bioflavonoids), sarcosine, and NMDA agonists; and OCD symptoms by memantine + selank, N-acetyl cysteine, magnesium L-threonate, and other NMDA antagonists.

I wonder if BDD symptoms would respond to alpha-GPC (+ acetyl L-carnitine) or other acetylcholine enhancers.
