Hi all,

Do any LDN users here have anything to say about taking a dose before exercise?

Taking ULDN before taking opiates sensitizes body to the drug.

Will taking ULDN or LDN before engaging in intense physical activity like cardio aerobic exercise or weightlifting offer any benefits? Increasing endorphin release in same manner as it would with drugs?

To test, I dosed 0.8mg Naltrexone (maybe too high)  just now. At +30min I will commence a light mobility and stretching regimen, followed by approx 45min-1hr on the treadmill with my heart rate in cardio exercise zone for at least 30min.

Previously, taking LDN at night (2.5mg) makes me feel horrible for an entire day afterwards-- it feels like I'm in light opiate withdrawal, slowly easing up over the day. I suspect I am extremely sensitive due to my being a recent opiod addict, I've recently detoxed off methadone. After a day, the horrid feelings dissipate and I feel amazing. Like from before I ever touched drugs, when I was at my peak of health. This lasts almost a day and I'm back to my low feeling baseline (I suffer from PAWS), afterwards. I should also note that I do not normally suffer from allergies, but the day after using LDN I get all the symptoms of allergies when I'm outside. I've read beta-endorphins increase allergies, so I assume I'm getting a boost.

any information or guidance would be appreciated

not sure how 0.8mg is too high when standard doses are about 50mg. i have to ask this though, where did you acquire it? i have problem with my doctors, most do not even know this medicine exists, others do not understand it enough to prescribe. :(

Sorry, no shortcuts here

It should be taken at bedtime then it works synergetically with hormone production.

Most people take several days in a row and body adapt somewhat. In your case, it could be more complicated.

hey friend,

0.8mg could be too high considering doses to potentiate opiates are around 1mcg-200mcg. LDN usage for MS, cancer, fibro, etc. would around 1.5mg-4.5mg.  Doses to block receptors for stopping heroin, other opiate addicts from getting high is 25mg-50mg. Oxytrex, was a formulation of oxycodone and naltrexone, at a dose of 10mg of oxycodone and 1mcg of naltrexone. So please understand the varying doses and purported results of these different doses, because people in forums since as much as a decade ago and up until today are still not being familiar with this, and it can get kind of aggravating when people continually comment on this drug and still fail to understand the nuances between dose ranges.

It is easiest to order online and hope it passes customs depending on how strict your country is. The sites selling the LDN and ULDN formulations are ripping people off, so I sourced the brand name ReVia tablets myself and diluted them in water. They are expensive compared to the generics but it is better for my peace of mind, I've had too many problems with Indian meds. I have had no problems with room temp storage, there is a study that shows it is stable at room temps for up to 60 days at least. Please feel free to PM me if you require a source.

Did I imply anywhere I'm trying to take a shortcut?  I know how LDN works, I know it is generally recommended to take before bedtime. You didn't address the gist of my question-- can ULDN be used to boost natural endorphins from exercise in the same manner as it is with opiate formulations. Please familiarize youself with the difference between using ULDN to potentate opiates vs. using LDN for its purported health benefits. There is a major difference in how this drug works at varying dosages.Thank you anyways for attempting to contribute something, but I think you missed the point of what I am trying to accomplish.

Anyways, for anyone reading this, I didn't really have a good enough cardio session to get an endorphin boost in the first place, due to an injury flare up. I'm taking some time to prepare my body for  a nice long run. I will try a smaller dose, perhaps 0.125mg before a 7.5-10km run and will see how I fare. Will post update after. Could be about a week from now, maybe sooner, maybe later.

The LDN protocols I've seen generally use between 3-4.5 mg and most often target 9-11 pm. The reason for that time frame was to target the opioid receptor blockade to the time of maximum production. The rest of the day, endorphin levels are supposed to rise as a result of the protocol, which brings some relief from auto-immune diseases and immune system stimulation.

I guess LDN pre-exercise would blunt the pleasurable impact of running, but I am not sure how this would be beneficial.
