So there's a new subsidiary of iherb, papanature.com, I am informed in an email from iherb. The search function and category organization are even worse than iherb's, and those two things are not iherb's strong points. BUT their prices seem to be very very low-- $9 for a bottle of Doctor's Best K-RALA, whereas iherb just jacked the price up to 19 freaking dollars per bottle. Their inventory is also larger. Why didn't iherb just add this stuff to their site? I just sent the following email to both IH and PN, so hopefully it'll shed some light on the issue.

I see that the new iherb subsidiary papanature has lower prices on a variety of items. For example, the PN price for Doctor's Best brand K-RALA is $9 while iherb has jacked the price up to $19. Is papanature the eventual successor to iherb? If so, I suggest that you improve the search function of the site by adding product pictures as was done with iherb.com. Also PN suffers from poor category organization as iherb does.

Anyway what's going on?

Yeah, its definitely very weird. What I have done so far when ordering from iherb.com was create the same order using papanature and compare the prices. After adjusting for iherb's free shipping and 5% discount (type "online" into coupon box in checkout), iherb has come out cheaper. Your results may vary depending on what you are trying to order.

I take it that iherb discount codes do not work at papanature. It might be worth it if one was ordering K-RALA, and the order was less than $80, for which shipping is only $1.50. Maybe they could move the warehouse out of california while I'm on this angry frustrated tangent, so I don't have to pay tax.
