Looking for a supplement that lowers cortisol that isn't gabaergic, or at least isn't a PAM or agonist.

 

Ginkgo comes to mind, but it is a gaba NAM.  I'd rather save that one for later.

 

Suffering long term effects of prescription zopiclone withdrawal.  Now 30 months post quitting.  Still messed up.

Not sure re: your specific needs, but I make my own 'Cortisol Calm' supp for that, as in:

 

Honokoil - 500mg

Rhodiloa Rosea - 100mg

Aswagandha - 150mg

Holy Basil - 50mg

Ginger - 200mg

Phosphatidylserine - 50mg

 

size '000' cap  ~1gram

This may need to go into the prescription realm of drugs but see if your doctor can prescribe Topiramate. It's known for helping with situations like this among other benefits. You wouldn't have to take it for very long. It may or may not work depending on your chemistry but for most people it does.
