Hi Guys!
i´m now taking Piracetam of a german Drugstore since 1 Month. And in reality i have to say that it works great, i just feel good on it. But there is IMO a problem, before i started taking Piracetam i always cared a lot of doing the "right" things, like working out, not drinking, not smoking etc just to be able to stay feeling good. I just felt good, when i was doing the right things. Now, since i´m taking this drug, i´m just feeling good all the time, i started smoking, drinking, and worked out less. Not that i´m now completely fu*** up, but i am deteriorating, what would be your recommendation?
Maybe that bad feeling, after doing wrong things is just good for me, as it avoids me to fall apart.
I think i will stop taking it.
regards from germany and please excuse my poor english

Try reducing the dose to see if you can find a level between the positive effects and the reduced motivation. Alternatively, you could try adding (ar)modafinil.

I wouldn't stop taking it, you just need to find a new reason to do the things you want to do.
Every motivation you have in life is based upon your moods. When your moods change, so do your reasons for being motivated. Piracetam does cause permanent changes in mood/cognition from my experience, good changes, so you will have to convince yourself of a new reason to get motivated.

I'm quite the opposite. I take piracetam with Nuvigil in the morning and I can't stop working out. I'm constantly going for walks, being active and motivated. I do find I want to drink more often however. I eat less, and when I do eat it's extremely healthy. I'm motivated to make better, more positive changes. But I also drink green tea with it in the morning along with Choline, turmeric, ginger, etc. Herbs in general I have at home. Also Neurontin 600 mg's. I feel great. Amazing, actually, especially when the weather is nice.

The Nuvigil would make a lot of difference here; if I recall correctly, one of the things it does is to increase motivation.
I don't become motivated on piracetam either, but it is not particularly de-motivating either. Apart from some degree of concentration enhancement, it does however also make me more tense and impatient, so I am taking a break from it again as I am finding it is more difficult to remain calm and compassionate with my son when he is being difficult, while I am on piracetam.

I tried armodafinil for the "motivation" part.
But the only effect that I got was that I was able to sleep less than usual (I was sleeping 10-11 hours daily)
so it was a good effect, but it was not the dramatic effect that I was expecting according to the reviews.
On the other hand, It seems like if that effects started to get smaller after 20 days. I know that armo it´s suppossed to keep working, but it my case is not like that, I´m just sleeping as much as before and my motivation never change.
