Root canal, extraction or doing nothing?

Hello
In my last visit dentist shocked me doing root canal (well half of it, I will be having obturation in a few days) on a tooth(2) which was looking good and without ANY symptoms like marginal pain. I still have to do (?) second 2 and 3 tooth which are looking much worse and giving since not a long time some pain.. And what is worse my tooth's are wiping off very much because of occlusion and half of their structure is still in gingiva as dentist said so any crown etc. might need surgery which I don't accept..
Currently I feel depressed because I see root canals as a big danger for a whole organism health, arteries, immune system, nervous system, organs and from other side I see studies showing that pulling tooth(s) significantly impair memory, spatial memory, short-term memory and learning ability.

What is best for a health to do now if I really want to be wise and to have a very good memory for a long time?

Only had time to read the first link there for now but other than the crazy bits (pulling a tooth is not directly effecting the brain) all the quotes about having teeth vs. not having teeth are way out of context. Most of the sources he's quoting are taking about people who are significantly or completely edentulous (missing teeth). There's a huge difference between removing wisdom teeth that are tipped so as to trap plaque causing their neighboring teeth to decay and having large numbers of missing teeth. This difference was totally missed by the author of the article.
There's a lot of information on the internet and some of the crazy stuff is written tongue in cheek while others are convinced of their often half-baked ideas.
There are certainly things to be concerned about when one has a diagnosis like yours but these issues are not the ones. How old are you?

I don't know why you are so sure it's not important. Anyway I think it's interesting.
PS - Sorry maybe I should ask in a other section but I is see no section about memory only.
PS2 - But if I'm here.. so is root canal safe for health long term? Are there any studies about that beside Price etc.
