guys adding tryptophan to gelatin?

ironfistx's Photo ironfistx 31 May 2019

So, if you look at the amino acid schedule of collagen you will see that there is hardly any tryptophan.

A search online revealed there is a firm adding tryptophan to it along with vitamin C.  Can adding tryptophan to it make it something else?  For what reason would you do this?  There is a reason it has no tryptophan and I feel like adding that would make it no longer the same product.  Am I incorrect?  Seriously, would taking gelatin with added tryptophan result in it being used in another way by your body?
