I read this short book (adapted screenplay - novel). It was published very recently. It is a little bit in the style "conspiracy theory" that I do not like. But it is good to see that a fiction book can imagine that scientists are now on the edge of finding a way to avoid old age.

Aww, man, the last I'd like to see about biological immortality technologies is "action", "drama", "suspense" and other bs. Raising awareness is good only if it does not go together with assaulting credibility... Dunno, it can be net positive or net negative, who knows.

I'd read it. At least it approaches the topic from a plausible point of view. It is good to question the possibilities that may arise from this new level of competition.

I agree. Anything that can get the public interested in the topic has the potential for generating funding and the general public loves fiction.
