Best way to help with a friend's addic...

Hello all,

I have a friend with an opiate addiction that is very difficult for him to break. He can afford any supplement that might help, and he has access to a legal prescription of gabapentin, alprazolam, and marijuana but doesn't use them in combination with opiates. He also has some pure dextrometrophan pills as well. After doing some research gabapentin and alprazolam can help him with withdrawals, as can 200mg of dextrometrophan, but the question is what combination and dosages are safe and effective if any? Is it too dangerous for him to say, cut the opiate usage by 75%, but then use dextrometrophan or alprazolam to mitigate the withdrawals? Given all this information, what would be his best course of action and what other supplements would be a good idea? Thanks for your input in advance.

Ibogaine, taken in a medically supervised environment is by far the most effective opiate withdrawal aid in my experience. It is a Schedule 1 substance in the US... The "real" challenge is the aftercare route....Good luck!
