The Deutsch* View of the MWI:
The Universe is constantly spliting in billions of zillions of possible Universes, therefor all possible Worlds do exist.
All moments do exist in their own Present, also the Futur exists, therefor the futur is unchangable.
I would say thats really, really scary... do alternativ Interpretations exist?

MWI implies no free will. It also implies that everyone has immortality, provided that you have no problem with the pattern identity theory. But then, the dust hypothesis from Greg Egan also implies that everyone has immortality (if you have no problem with pattern identity theory), and that doesn't require MWI to work out as a thought experiment.

No it didn't sorry but I didn't have time to resurrect your old thread on webbing multiple computers together and I thought you would be interested in the subject of the article and if you want I can delete my entry now that you have seen it. If you want to post the information I believe your other thread is in the "catcher".

It was an interesting article but there were a few things that didn't make sense to me. "It is hard to imagine a more radical violation of Occam's razor, the law of parsimony which urges scientists to keep entities to a minimum." I don't see how MWI is a violation of Occam's razor, it's actually a very simple interpretation of the data and gets around all the paradoxes. I don't think there is a violation in excepting the theory, but rather in speculating about the things happening in the alternate universes since they won't affect this one. "Both the MWI and Lewis's possible worlds allow time travel into the past." I see how this could get rid of some of the paradoxes, but there is still no reasonable way for macroscopic things to travel backwords in time. I still found it a good article though.
