GoCryo Advocacy Site
Shannon Vyff 06 Mar 2008
This site was started by Kennita Watson, who has a drawing for either a free cryo-bear or free chocolate, for those who fill out her survey.
It is a great place to get cryonics info, such as the free Alcor video sent to you as well if you want it. She also has a link to her cafepress site, which has some of the coolest cryo-wear I've seen, Avianna is wearing one of her shirt designs: http://www.cafepress.com/gocryo
She just got non-profit status, and can accept donations through paypal, if you can help her --she does a lot of advocacy for cryonics--such as attending the 'Frozen Dead Guy Festival' each year (check it out if you are near Boulder CO it is going on this weekend, bet the schedule is up here: ( http://www.nederland...zenDeadGuyDays/ )

Out of curiosity, how many cryonic hospitals/facilities do there actually exist world wide, where they perform cryonics and store patiences? So far I'm aware of three:
1. Alcor
2. The Cryonics Institute
3. Kriorus

Thanks! I have a lot I want to do with it, but I don't
want to think more about that till after Frozen Dead
Guy Days (this weekend, http://www.frozendeadguydays.org.I like those t-shirts. Unfortunately, I can't pay with paypal...She also has a link to her cafepress site, which has some of the coolest cryo-wear I've seen, Avianna is wearing one of her shirt designs: http://www.cafepress.com/gocryo
Which must mean you also don't have a credit card....
IIUC, you can also mail $ to PayPal to create a balance
you can order things with (it makes decent interest
until you spend it).
That aside:
You can find the URL of a shirt you like, go through
the procedure far enough to get the price with
shipping, tax, etc. and send the URL and $ (check or
money order) to me at
Kennita Watson, 3790 El Camino Real #270,
Palo Alto, CA 94306,
and I can order the shirt(s) from CafePress to be
mailed directly to you.
Gotta go. One last thing: what do people
here think of the YouTube "Be a Popsicle"
http://youtube.com/watch?v=j5TR9peZGOM?
I don't much like it, and I think it's a *bad* idea to
show it to people who aren't already involved in cryonics,
but I've met one person who thinks it's hilarious and
shows we can laugh at ourselves ("works for Hillary").
What do you think? Does it belong in an outreach
presentation?
Live long and prosper,
Kennita

Shannon asked me to post about what I do.
I'll be distributing the survey from gocryo.org, showing
a number of cryonics videos (most of which are on
YouTube or Google Video), and talking to anyone who'll
listen about cryonics from morning to night. The Frozen
Dead Guy Days sound like a lot of fun, but I never get
to see them. Someday maybe more people will come,
one with a car, so I can actually get to try bowling a
frozen turkey.
FTR, I don't have non-profit status, but I'm affiliated
with the Venturists, which does - you can:
1) send money to the Venturists via PayPal through the email address david2090@aol.com, or
2) use the donation button on the Marce Johnson page:
http://www.quantium.plus.com/venturist/marce/gifts.htm, or
3) Make checks to: The Venturists and mail to:
David Pizer, 11255 State Route 69, Mayer AZ 86333.
In all cases, add a memo indicating that the donation
is for "Go Cryo!", and it will be forwarded to me.
Thanks!

I only don't know how to send money to you because I don't have a bank account number of you.
I find it funny, but I don't know if it's good show it to people who doesn't know about cryonics.Gotta go. One last thing: what do people

Jedimasterlucia, can you get a money order? It seems like that would work, and I think you can get them at any bank--just get it in US dollars.

I couldn't find info on money orders on the website of my bank, I have to go to my bank and ask it there.I had someone from Germany do it to buy a book from me, it worked--so check into it, and if you can't get a US dollar money order, let us know and we can brainstorm further
