Personal question about cryonics.

armrha's Photo armrha 22 Sep 2004

I hope this is not too personal of a question, but I am curious if any of our members are also Alcor members and could share information about it with us. I am interested in the service, and I am very curious about what is involved in it. I would appreciate any information about term life insurance providers as well as a suggested start age for a policy in order to help ensure (rather morbidly) not being shut out of the policy. While I hope for technology to smooth away the problem, I can't help but feel a backup plan is a neccessary precaution. Cryonics is certainly the second worst thing that can happen to you, but that being said it's still way better than the alternative.

This is my first post as a full member. I'm glad to finally contribute after a good amount of time lurking. However 50$ a year for the next 10 billion years could get rather pricey. I may have to opt for the lifetime membership. *grin*
