Injectable B-12

geigertube's Photo geigertube 18 Dec 2004

I'm thinking about trying out injectable b-12, because it looks pretty safe, and I'm interested in how I respond to it.

I found two sources, one is Lion Nutrition,

http://www.buyb12.co...&products_id=52

$60/30 ml

Or

http://www.agri-med....uct/100-4348844

$6/100ml.

Obviously, I'd prefer the cheaper. I just want to make sure it's safe to use this on humans. I can't think of any reason at the moment, but figured its best to double check. [thumb]

Reports of energy boosts in non deficient people. No double blinds support this, but seems to have little potential for messing me up,

so i thought I'd give it a go.

LOL ok...I've seen threads where lifters were talking about using it to increase appetite so be aware that may happen. In what...context are you looking for more energy? You've gotten enough sleep but feel lethergic? looking for more endurance (citruilline-malate is great here)? or..???

Honestly, its 99% plain old curiousity. I just want to see what the effects are for myself. If I like it, I'll figure out if/how to apply it later.

Apparently the Iron Lady herself used it for pep. ;)

Iron Lady??

I guess he is refering to Margret Thatcher.

I took it a long time ago as part of some weightlifting regimen. With all the stuff I was taking, I did not notice a difference, but took it anyway.

My brother said it was because I was taking it as a liquid form into the mouth, and if you want real lasting affects for a couple weeks, inject it. I am afraid of needles, and so let me know how it goes [glasses] [thumb]. My response was, that is kinda what they told me, "if you really want the results take it in a liquid form and not as the pill"... Well I did.

If my memory servers me correctly the author of this book talked about it. He seems like he is a little bit fringe if you know what I mean. (he is trying to sell everything at his "clinics" and I am not sure if he has any medical background) Look and Feel Fabulous Forever: The World's Best Supplements, Anti-Aging Techniques, and High-Tech

Bingo.

I thought that with Scott's "Fight Liberalism" tagline I could use her nickname. ;)

Anyway, I'll give it a whirl and let you all know how it goes.

Thanks,

Oz Garcia is actually pretty good stuff. Just recently bought his "The healthy high tech body". Dated 2001 it is a little out of date (the info in any book is actually several year older then the copywrite date), but overall interesting info including a fair amount of basic info on nootropics, etc. He also has a book which talks about....metabolic typing...a very interesting system of deciding what kind of diet is best for one. Some people notice a big difference.

As far as the politics, while I enjoy political debate sometimes, I'm not heavily into it. I put that there because this place...is a bit suffocating if one leaves the relative safety of the nootropic/supp forums (which is why I don't any more). The powers that be erase posts that they don't want anyone to see, they ridicule anyone in the religion forum who believes in religion (I think they should change the name to the anti-religion forum). If it was not for the dissenters (thank you--you know who you are)...
