2D

Could the Universe be 2 dimensional, like Craig Hogan thinks?
Was he proven wrong through the measurements of that ESA-Probe?
Wouldn't such a thing need large amounts of energy?
Is Life in 2d even possible?
Would the Inverse-square law work in 2d?
And isn't the whole Idea a little frightening?

Is o one interested, or is that stupid question?

2D universes do not have observers. "Is Life in 2d even possible?" No. Self-sustainability requires an input-output tube. In 2D that tube would split every organism in 2 parts. 2D life was only "possible" in fiction novels like Abbot's Flatland in late 1880's

Ummm....

Well, providing some introductory links would have been helpful...

Craig Hogan's official site and Wikipedia entry don't provide much info on anything "2D" ...

... which sounds like a gross oversimplification that simply begs to be ridiculed ...

Now i read a german popular science magazine(pm), they wrote about the Theorie of Susskind and t Hooft, and that there are Meassurements which will be taken and should prove or disprove the theorie.
Last year i read that it was disproven through an ESA Sattellit.
Does anyone know anything about that?
