Dana Vulin and her road to recovery

caston's Photo caston 25 Feb 2012

Hello,

There has been a lot of media coverage of the incident where a Perth woman named Dana Vulin was set on fire by another woman known to her.
She has ended up in Royal Perth Hospital with burns to 60% of her body mainly her head, face and upper torso.

This has created a lot of media attention especially social media such as twitter and facebook with a lot of people coming out in support of her.

Here is one article about her:

We have been raising money for her recovery which has been deposited in a special foundation started in her name.

She is getting some good medical attention because the burns unit at Royal Perth works very closely with Doctor Fiona Wood (who helped victims of the bali bombing) and hopefully the re-cell skin stem cell spraying technology.

Although we advocate regenerative medicine to reverse the aging process I think that it should also be used to help burns victims.

I would like to see regenerative medicine used to help Dana make a full recovery.

I am going to write an article about this soon for my wiki/blog Rejuvepedia but I want to tread around this carefully because I don't want it to look like we are taking advantage of Dana's situation to
push the longevity agenda. Basically I am saying that is unfair that she ever got into this situation in the first place but if we can get world leaders in regenerative medicine medicine to help her in her recovery it would be quite incredible.

best regards,

Chris
