question about forum policy

penisbreath's Photo penisbreath 25 Jun 2013

hi, i'm a moderate-term member who suffers from severe, treatment-refractory OCD. i recently contacted the Yale research clinic regarding my case and it was suggested I trial Riluzole.

unfortunately, the drug is prohibitively expensive and i am unable to work currently, do not quality for any form of disability (not a citizen), and am living in a country where meds are not covered by insurance.

i am trying to raise a modest amount for a 3-4 month trial of the drug, at which point, permitting it enables me to return to some form of casual/part-time work, i will endeavor to finance it myself.

i have set up a donations page requesting a modest amount and was wondering if it might be permitted to post a link on the site, possibly in my signature if not in a thread? i am conflicted about the issue of having to turn to relative strangers for assistance, but unfortunately am somewhat desperate

if this is in violation of forum guidelines, i would completely understand of course, but thought i would ask anyway

thank you

Good luck to you lucky pierre!

Full Members can raise such cases in this forum.

Others can mention their problems and support page links in the open forums, as long as the effort appears to be non-commercial but LongeCity does not review or endorse these and everyone should be vigilant against fraud.
