Anti- bitterants

wiserd's Photo wiserd 19 Jul 2013

My wife seems like a supertaster and it's hard to get her to eat healthy foods that are bitter. I've been looking at ways to block bitter tastes using stuff like salt or Adenosine monophosphate. I was wondering if anyone could either reccomend some good bitter blockers (anti-bitterants) or else reccomend a good source of food grade adenosine monophosphate which is a known anti-bitterant Thanks!

I don't know what that stuff is but I would be concerned if it was safe. Salt is o.k. for most people. Why not find less bitter foods that are healthy like spinach, lettuce, green beans, squash, bell peppers, etc.?

I'm a supertaster but I can eat bitter things. Maybe it's a question of getting used to them, or calming down a sweet tooth with healthy foods over time.
