Advice for my (mostly) anti-anxiety stack...

Samuraidream's Photo Samuraidream 22 Oct 2013

I'm gonna be placing several orders in the next week or so to build a stack, which I plan on starting in November.
The main purpose is to reduce anxiety levels (especially social anxiety), but also to improve my mood and cognitive skills.

The tentative list is as follows:

* Omega 3 - daily
* Aniracetam - daily
* Phenibut - once or twice a week (anything less addictive with similar/same effects?)
* Etizolam - as needed (the day after a massive drinking session or when delivering a speech etc = when my anxiety levels are much higher than normal)
* Ashwaghanda - daily (before bed)
* ???

Thanks a bunch in advance guys!

Hey,

drop Phenibut and Etizolam. Both are strong but will make your anxiety problems worse long term.

Take Ashwaghanda two or three times per day as soon as you get used to it. So take it before bed for one week and two or three times per day in the next week. It is strong and has nearly no side-effects for me.
Think about adding Bacopa. It helps a lot of people and is very synergistic with ashwaghanda.

Think about adding noopept or replacing aniracetam with noopept. For me noopept works better than aniracetam regarding anxiety and overall mood.
Start with low dosages (5mg or 10mg per day) and take it at least for one week before you decide. Noopept can cause irritability or a "spaced out" feeling at the beginning or at high dosages.

And last but not least: Please post your experiences here!

edit: Definatly drop Etizolam. It is dangerous stuff!
Phenibut will make your anxiety issues worse too but it is way easier to handle and way less addictive compared to Etizolam.

Damn! My post was deleted!

Briefly:

Try Noopept - very good for anxiety and promoting confidence.

Drop Phenibut except for very rare occasions when you're feeling particularly anxious.

Try: Theanine, Inositol, Phosphotidly Serine.

UPDATE:
So in the last couple of weeks my regimen consisted of:
700-900mg Phenibut twice a week in the morning
900mg Aniracetam 5 times a week in the morning
Jarrow's Ashwaghanda 1 pill every night before bed
5-htp 100-200mg 5 nights a week before bed
L-theanine 200mg 3 times a week in the morning

Sleeping very well, anxiety has decreased a bit, while my focus during the day has increased - nowhere near where I'd like it to be, but still better than it was 2 weeks ago.
No noticeable tolerance or withdrawals from Phenibut. Probably because I only take it on Mondays and Tuesdays and in a relatively low dose, right?

Anyways, I'll continue with this for 2 more weeks and see how it goes. Then I will definitely add some fish oil and maybe something else to increase my focus/alertness during the day. Any suggestions?

@thomasthomas thanks for your advice. I've tried noopept several times already. It indeed helps with focus and alertness to an extent. However, it makes me somewhat anti-social, which I find particularly annoying. Will look into Bacopa, though. Thanks!

Taking Phenibut everyday is addictive and taking it 2 days a week makes no sense imo.
If you want to take it --> take it if you need it (e.g. after or before a very stressful day) but only once a week or less.

Agree with all of this, great stuff. I also have a low dose Rhodiola Rosea in my stack for Anxiety. I heard Schizandra might be helpful as well but I just started with it so to early to tell.
