Aceglutamide is a Nootropic

ta5's Photo ta5 24 Apr 2014

Aceglutamide is the "acetyl derivative of the amino acid L-glutamine" according to Wikipedia. "Aceglutamide is a psychostimulant and nootropic[1] used to improve memory and concentration.[2] Chemically, it is the acetyl derivative of the amino acid L-glutamine."

The link above says it's "N2-acetylglutamine". But, then says, "Strictly, the name Aceglutamide applies to the (S)-form. Psychostimulant; used to improve memory and concentration.

I just thought this was interesting. I had never seen that spelling before. The idea of glutamine being a nootropic has been discussed many times before.

Is there any mention of the body producing aceglutamide from reserves of glutamine?  That would definitely encourage readers here to take glutamine.
