berberine and benfotiamine

Between the two of these supplements, I am having a hard time trying to determine which one is more suited for blocking advanced glycation end products.

Benfotiamine has a lot of hard science behind it I have made ages my sole aim where as life extension type supplementation is concerned
L.e. Mitochondrial energy optimizer is a great product too look into just about every ingredient has an Age related benefit , I don't take it anymore due too the inclusion of carnosine and a trivial amount of supplementary calcium ( neither one of these sups has a positive reaction on me after a week or so )

And the label on the bottle is a great place too start looking for some Age or Rage support supplementally speaking

What kind of reaction could you possibly have after a week or so of calcium and carnosine? Pretty bizarre.

Carnosine would appear too induce a mild anxiety / itchiness due too histamine I believe
And calcium would only strengthen any kind of anxiogenic response I got

Sometime I look at this site to check the best evidence based level effect of supplements:

http://examine.com/s...ents/Berberine/

Between the two I would bet on berberine as it looks more solidly reducing A1C. I never used it though. I am using some benfotiamine but at low doses for some limited evidence of increased cancer risk.
