Sluggish Cognitive Tempo (SCT) vs Attentio...

Dwayde3's Photo Dwayde3 24 Oct 2014

Just got done watching a lecture on ADHD and SCT. It lasted an hour. Pre luvox I was unable to do that. So thank you Jesus! Anways here's what I learned both can exist at the same time or you can have one without the other. ADHD is more of an executive functioning disorder SCT is more of an arousal disorder and more related to anxiety. For SCT since it can be related to low arousal and anxiety so he recommendeds or said we should consider anti-narcoleptics like modafinil and since it can be related to with anxiety he also said consider luvox/anafranil since it can be ocd/anxiety related. You can find the lecture on youtube. He did say that people with ADHD canidates are more impaired overall than SCT canidates.

Any thoughts?, I highly recommend you watch the lecture.

Yeah I liked this lecture on SCT its been around for a while.

It's more closely related to ADHD-PI than regular ADHD. The symptoms are hard to pinpoint, as they overlap with a few ADHD-PI symptoms. Seeing as how not all doctors even agree on ADHD existing, sadly it could be a long time before we see anything happen.
