Stress and Aging Questions

ImmortalSpace's Photo ImmortalSpace 04 Apr 2015

So this is something I've been looking into for a while.. and so far there has been research claiming that there is a connection

such as less stressed people having longer telomeres and less of the enzyme "Telomarase" than really stressed people.

-

But, theres some people with anxiety disorders and other things that are in constant stress all the time. Literally non stop.

But some of those people look younger than people that seem like they aren't constantly stressed or probably less than most people.

I'm starting to think that maybe the body adapts to stress and people who have Generalized Anxiety aren't as damaged by stressful situations

because they are under anxiety 24\7 so their body is adapted to dealing with it I would assume.

-

People like the Dalli Llama and thich nat hiin all look their age, even comedians like Jim Carrey look their age.

Then you have Abraham Lincoln and presidents that aged fast over the years because of stress looking older than their age.

It's a mystery at the moment, my theory is that some stress\cortisol is good for the system and maybe the body adapts a tolerance to stress...

and people who expierence more stress than they can handle probably experience damage to their system like a weight lifter lifting more weights than he has enough muscle to do. That's my theory anyways, give your thoughts! Share.
