Can a Skincare Product's pH Level Affe...

So, from what I understand, our skin's pH level is slightly acidic - 5.5 to be exact. I'm sure most of you already knew that. I've heard conflicting things about a skin's pH level and the products - some say that our body will naturally bring our skin back to a healthy pH level, others say that you should use pH strips to test your products. What are your opinions? Do any of you use pH strips to test your products before putting them on your face?

Never thought about it. I just assumed a good product would be pH balanced. I like Kiel's or Clinique for my face, just to cleanse and moisturize. Aveeno on the extremities after a shower. A precursory search of their marketing literature does indeed claim them to be "pH balanced." Here are a couple vague links for reference to indicate trend:

Interesting. Thanks for the links, thisispaul. I just bought a pH pencil, and am going to use it to test my products just like they do in the following video:

I'll post my results when it arrives.
