Pretty sure the digestive system will chew up acetylcholine.  The body has a pretty high incentive not to allow a major neurotransmitter through the digestive tract.  But, someone with more knowledge might know otherwise.

Are you serious? Do you not read about the things you take? It's just a dietary supplement, not a synthetic chemical or something alike. You don't die from taking it and you can obviously take it alone, on an empty stomach, in high dosages, etc., just like taking a vitamin.
A high enough dose will give you brain fog for a short while, maybe an hour to at most a whole day, and after that it's back to the same old. It can also give smelly gas. Taken before bed it can have some mood uplifting effects on the next day.

Being cautious about a substance is far better than assuming it is safe, all supplements and medications cause side effects some can be benign such as increased hunger from B vitamins and others can be more serious, remember OP that too much of anything is bad for you even water,  people react differently to substances so research your substances and trial them separately, you can also have a great reaction to  each substance separately but when you mix certain combinations it can create new substances that you can react badly to.
