What fellow ImmInst members do for WORK?
goku 20 Oct 2005
Thought it might be interesting to see what other ImmInst do for a living. To see how many actual doctors, pharmacists, or people in the biotech field we actually have on this forum; and, in addition, what other jobs brain greedy people do.

I am currently combining work and studies.
During the weekdays, I am finishing off my BA degree in Communications, majoring in Cyber Studies and Screen Production, which I hope to complete by the end of this year.
Qualified computer expert, having completed a Diploma of Information Technology.
Also have some background studies in mechanical engineering.
My job is as a "weekend hero", working as a Patrol Officer for a private security company.

I'm still a high-school student, and have got to finish this year and two more...
However, I once a week and in holidays go to work in the laboratory of a dairy products factory.
[lol] Probably the reason I hate chocolate milk drink and stuff like that... after you see the weird phenomena after the expiration and sometimes before [huh] it's pretty deterring.

Mind:
Where's WILMA going to go?
helo pilot in gulf of Mexico for oil/gas ind'y, seismic/fire pilot.
The Monroe Institute and The Lucidity Institute member/junkie!
geologist/land surveyor ore/mins when oil ind'y crashes again.
"think and grow rich"...it really does work!

A lot of college/university students. Surprised to see someone as young as a high school student using Nootropics.

I'm currently a second year business & admin Student (B.A), and a first year Biochemistry student. I study biochemistry to "pre-complete" courses for Medical School, which I start next year (hopefully!). Other than that, I volunteer as a Medic in the Israeli Red-Cross (Magen David Adom). Also, I write a lot - - nearing the completion of my book (Forma Aeternus), I do hope I'll have enough time to complete it in the coming year, with all my studies...........

I think it's someone who is like a bee, flitting around from temprary job to temporary job, in the same way that a bee goes from flower to flower. Does anyone have a better idea of what a "bee" is?

I work for my parents at their apartment complex where I mainly do landscaping and maintanance.
I'm a senior in high school. Definately college bound (majors in mind: pharmacy/pharmacology, bio/chemistry or neuroscience).
I don't take any nootropics yet because my parents are pretty narrowminded people and think that any supplement that isn't a vitamin sold at Wal-Mart is bad for you and not worth taking. They, for some reason or another, relate every supplement to ephedra and all the deaths that came out of it. UGH! It's just so frustrating talking to them. They wont listen to me because I'm 17 years old and they wont research any nootropics themselves. They're just simple minded Polish immigrants I guess. Either way I definalty plan on eventually taking nootropics. I'll just wait until I'm out of the house because I'd rather not do it behind there backs now.
I've been lurking around here for a long time. Almost a year.
Joee -I can't believe theres a bee on here! You're crazy joee! any recent updates on your 'hive' getting back together rather then just having that mirror around. PM me, i've got questions.
Daba -you wouldn't happen to go to UTD would you?

Are you joking? Polish are one of the highest using peoples of nootropics in the world. Many of them take Nootropil, which is a pharmaceutical brand of Piracetam, and is dirt cheap there. Have you discussed it with them? It's far more common in Poland than it is here...... They're just simple minded Polish immigrants I guess ...

rfarris -
I've told them about Nootropil (piracetam) and how its commonly used and sold all over Europe and it barely raised an eye brow but I had no idea Poland was the number one consumer?! Wow, do you remember where you read or heard this? I'm sure this would have some sort of effect on there outlook over nootropics.
I'm surprised I didn't see it while I was over there this summer. But I guess its because I never went to any of 1 billion pharmacies (apteka) they have over there. It's like starbucks.

I don't remember where I saw it. I found out because when I had a stroke my Polish friend had her mother send me Nootropil in huge quantities. Eventually I found out where to get my own.
