Senolytics -- Of mice and humans

AgeVivo's Photo AgeVivo 03 Feb 2016

Breaking news: Nature, frontpage this week : 30% healthy life extension in mice by removing senescent cells. Hopefully even better results can be achieved by tuning the treatment, eg dose. http://www.nature.co...-longer-1.19287

This is what we aim to achieve with the MMTP crowdfunding, but with a combination of human medicines termed "senolytics" rather than requiring genetic engineering: http://majormouse.org (note: one can already start to donate). It is also what a group of volunteers is starting in an organized way.

Do you know if there's plans of combining senolytics with mesenchymal stem cell therapy in the mmtp ?

Indeed my college AgeVivo is correct. We are planning to combine stem cells with senolytics as our next phase. MSCs are of interest but we also have another type of stem cell no one has tested yet we want to try. More info as it comes in.

Meanwhile if you can help us get the first phase of the project funded we would love to have your support! Check us out at Lifespan.io

Excellent we need all the support of the community to get this done. We have raised over $4000 so far which is great but we cannot relax!

Brian Kennedy from the Buck stepped up to support us and did a nice interview for us here:
