Inguinal Hernia - Healing

Quaker32's Photo Quaker32 27 Dec 2016

Dear All,

I had an inguinal hernia on my right hand side and had it operated exactly a year ago. A mesh was inserted.

It is really hurting today all over the scar and surrounding areas of lower back and stomach. I will go to the doctors ASAP just to be sure, but I was wondering if there are any supplements of products that are worth taking?

I take iron because I am low in this and also have collagen hydroxylate powder int he house.

I have had a history of piles and an anal fissure as well. I found Daflon to be helpful for that.

Many thanks,

Hard to suggest anything, really, since we don't even know what's wrong.

Is there anything that  can take which would strengthen the area or speed up healing? I don't want this to ever happen again which is why I am taking my diet more seriously, to avoid constipation and will learn proper lifting techniques from a strength coach.

One year after surgery the healing should be long done...

Pain all of a sudden suggests something happened, not slow healing.

You really need to see a doctor, preferably the surgeon whom did the mesh.

Anyway gastric pentadecapeptide BPC 157 speeds up tissues healing, shockwaves and perhaps LIPUS might be considered too...but it has to be seen if the issue is a slow healing first.

Strengthening the abdominal musculature will definitely help.

OK, I will speak to my doctor.

That BPC-157 stuff looks very interesting.

I have found a supplement called "daflon" for haemorrhoids. I don't think it does anything for hernias though. Unfortunately.

Talk to the surgeon who put in the mesh. You will have to get some testing. Maybe the mesh separated from the tissue in one location or another. You should get more information before undertaking new supplement regimens.

anal tear can be due to diet changes as your poop get bigger or smaller depending on diet you will experience new fissure and bleed from anus until your body gets used to it. thats why its recommnded to go slowly.
