CRISPR and Telomere Activation

Nate-2004's Photo Nate-2004 04 Jan 2017

With CRISPR being one of the biggest inventions since the toaster last year, I figure it'd be the most discussed topic especially in the Telomere forum.

Telomerase activation is apparently controlled by, from what I've read so far, a single gene. What gene is this and can CRISPR turn this gene on.... or is it more complicated than that?

hTERT but as far as what I got from Liz Parrish there are more than one gene and they thought they had gotten the right one in her gene therapy, or something - she said a year or more ago
