I often read about the potential of iPS stem cells to treat disease but the problem is often raised that as we get older, our stem cell populations age aswell, and are therefore less effective and adaptable. i was curious as to whether anyone knew of any research that was looking to create truly "young" stem cells from the germline cells of adults, as these would seem to be ideal candidates for this type of thing.
