brain facts

oregon's Photo oregon 01 Jun 2007

Here is an excellent (and free) introduction to brain function from the Society for Neuroscience. It describes the neurotransmitters, how neurons communicate, and lots of other stuff.

Highly recommended:

iTunes has a bunch of Introduction to Neuroscience courses available, too. The lecturers recorded themselves and put themselves on iTunes; they're modern-day saints as far as I'm concerned.

Very interesting, exactly what I've been looking for.
The font in the document is very irritating; the t's are to small, disrupting my fast reading. Does anyone else have this font problem in this document?

Any parents out there--(or if you have some kids you correspond with as a mentor or family member) --send them this link with games to teach neuroscience for kids! (very cool site!)

Here's a site that has some great interesting facts on the human brain that will get the kids interested in the brain.
