'Take it on empty stomach'
kurt 18 Jun 2007
Perhaps we have never taken our dear supplements on empty stomach.
Before you pop your next '1 or 2 hours before/after meals' pill, or in other words your next pill 'to be taken on empty stomach', check out these 2 webpages first.
Taken from the webpages:
50% of stomach contents emptied: 2.5 to 3 hours
Total emptying of the stomach: 4 to 5 hours
50% emptying of the small intestine: 2.5 to 3 hours
Transit through the colon: 30 to 40 hours

that different than what ive learned... i was taught the stomach would be nearly completely emptied from a normal meal after 2-3 hours.
it has a lot to do with what you eat, and your own individual biochemistry as well.
*edit*
and the website you posted agrees w/ me
