I've been reading on Retin-A, I'm aware of the side-effects and what to watch for, and I'd like to use it.

I saw my primary care physician 30 minutes ago and she told me she's not comfortable about this cream as she doesn't know much about it, and obviously she wants me to see the dermatologist before I start on this. However where I live, it takes a year to see the dermatologist after the request is sent.

So I told her, that my best option would be to get in online.

If there are some of you who know where to get it either in Canada or elsewhere, would you be so kind as to PM me to let me know ?

I believe that is prescription only at this time...

When you can get it, (My mother used it quite often...) it really is amazing at reducing lines and wrinkles.

I am just venturing into this after reading this Imminst thread (below) which I would advise going through as using Retin A (as you probably know) can have detrimental effects if not handled with respect.

Well, yes I could do that too. But I'll have a 2 hours drive to see another dermatologist should I found any opening.

I can second the reference to inhousepharmacy - I've bought (retin-A) from them before without problems..

That's cause you're not in Canada. I emailed then yesterday only to find they cannot ship anything to Canada, as Canadian customs seize all of their orders. I'll have to find another source.

I know of two others, but I prefer not to mention them here--this is a habit I got from another board, where people don't want their sources divulged.

You bet ! I'll try and find another M.D. willing to write out a script for Retin-A, and in the meantime I'll email the two others sources I told you about yesterday. I ordered from one of them before without any problem but that was 2 years ago, so things may have changed a tad since then.

I started on 10% glycolic acid, will also get copper peptides, vitamin C + E, and I'd very much like to get Retin-A--of course, I won't be using them all at once. Retin-A and copper peptides have to be spread apart by 12 hours. What I like is that the list of things that do work against skin aging is very short and among that short list I may adversely react to one or more stuff making the list even shorter.


I used to have an uneducated approach to supplemens and such things many years ago, but I'm so glad I paused and started with a scientific perspective--saves time and money !
