Buckwheat?

Who's eating buckwheat here? Apparently it's known for containing essential amino acids like Arginine & Lysine. It also lowers the cholesterol & the blood pressure. In addition, it has a very low GI.

I eat buckwheat all the time, its a very common grain in Russian cooking and I live with Russians now. That and oatmeal are the only grains I consume, and of course carbs are still kept around 60-100g total daily, so portions are small.
They will usually put some beef or chicken over buckwheat with a gravy type sauce.

ive made buckwheat, it's ok. if i recall, it has like 2x the carb content that oatmeal has per gram. so, if you are against carbs then it may not be for you. i also eat it in small portions.
it's considered like porridge (yes, red riding hood & the 3 bears) from poland/russia.

It does have more carb than normal oatmeal, but not like 2x/1 1/2x;)
Should I just put it in the micro like I used to with the oatmeal? Right now I'm mixing 3dl of buck wheat with 5dl of water (just like I did with the oatmeal).
However, I liked the taste of oatmeal better..
